2023 was by far the most challenging year of my life. After the loss of my wife Chantell, I found comfort and healing through a connection with nature, which has inspired and shaped my journey as a photographer.

I spent 4 months in 2023 documenting the relationship between two orange-breasted sunbirds in the Robberg nature reserve, Plettenberg Bay, South Africa. (Ongoing project)
The Space Between, Plettenberg bay
Between the ocean and fynbos lies the Space Between, a mini-retreat on the doorstep of central Plettenberg Bay. They offer yoga, health and wellness classes set in idyllic surroundings, to an exclusive clientele. I photographed a series on their resident malachite sunbirds for use in their marketing and social media.
